Just a quick hack - I wasn’t going to post this, but our ski guide on a recent tour was stoked about it, so I figured I’d share.
Last year I lost one of my skin tail hooks - an essential piece of equipment for backcountry skiing. Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues, new tail hooks were pretty much impossible to come by. So I grabbed a wire coat hanger, bent it into shape, and went touring the next day:
That was early 2021. Now we’ve made it through another ski season, and it’s still holding up strong.
